    Chapter 1 Introduction This chapter introduces functions and structure of the SmartAX MT880 ADSL terminal (hereinafter referred to as the MT880). 1.1 Functions and Features The MT880 is a kind of Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) terminal. Through the MT880, data, video and audio are transmitted at high rate in the common telephone line.
